Parks Canada Indigenous Stewardship Strategy

We are engaging with Parks Canada on a proposed Indigenous Stewardship framework that could support diverse objectives and priorities of Indigenous peoples in protected heritage places the Agency operates. The discussion is intended to help clarify how the concept of Indigenous Stewardship and proposed framework elements could capture the scope of work needed, and changes that may be required, to advance reconciliation and recognition of Indigenous rights and responsibilities within Parks Canada administered places.
