Webinar: IPCA Governance Case Study: Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks

On November 4th, 2020, the CRP and the IISAAK OLAM Foundation (IOF) co-hosted the third webinar, and first case study, in the IPCA Governance Stream. This conversation featured Elder Joe Martin (Internationally renowned Tla-o-qui-aht master carver, a member of Chief and Council, and frontline Tribal Parks advocate), Eli Enns (CRP Leadership Circle member, co-founder of the IISAAK OLAM Foundation, and co-founder of the Ha’uukmin Tribal Park), and Terry Dorward (Coordinator of Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks and a member of Chief and Council), Gisele Maria Martin (Citizen of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, Nuu-chah-nulth language and culture activist, educator, artist, and Tribal Parks leader). Together, they explored Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks from its origins in 1984 to present-day governance, key partnerships, and a unique financial model, this webinar will provide attendees with lessons and tools that gave this IPCA life and momentum.
