Article: Seed Sowing Indigenous Relationship-Building as Processes of Environmental Action.

This case study explores the journey of an Indigenous-led grassroots initiative in the Grand River Territory within southern Ontario, which falls under what has been designated a “crisis ecoregion,” the Lake Erie Lowland (Kraus & Hebb, 2020).

Through three stories that describe the fostering of distinct relationships within the Wisahkotewinowak collective (Wisahkotewinowak, 2021a), an urban Indigenous food sovereignty initiative, we illustrate how Indigenous leadership can enhance community efforts to transform our shared social spaces
