Toktam Sajedi

Toktam is a terrestrial ecologist with expertise in forest stand dynamics and productivity, soil-vegetation-water interactions, soil ecology, carbon sequestration, and climate change impact and adaptations.

With experience working in academic, consulting, and business environments, across disciplines and cultures in Canada and internationally, Toktam has a unique combination of science, research, and entrepreneurial skills. She has taught courses at the University of British Columbia, led environmental projects in a wide range of ecosystems, and established businesses.

She is passionately pursuing new paths to apply her expertise to Indigenous-led conservation of biological diversity in Canada. She holds a Ph.D. in Forest Ecology and Silvics from the University of British Columbia.
