Tatyana Flick

Tatyana Flick is a member of the National Boreal Caribou Knowledge Consortium (NBCKC) Secretariat and co-leads the group’s Habitat Restoration Working Group (HWRG). The HWRG shares, generates, and mobilizes knowledge to support the restoration of caribou habitat across the country. The working group is composed of both non-Indigenous and Indigenous members and strives to equally include Indigenous ways of knowing alongside western ways of knowing in its work. Since caribou are a cultural keystone species, and the working group is developing tools to help in their conservation, Tatyana is excited to share with and learn from others who are doing similar work as part of the Biocultural Stream.
